It was one of those days near the end of October 2017... A rude parking attendant in the undercover parking bay section insisting that we reverse further (when we were already in the crammed up parking bay) and then making smirk comments and gestures didn't make it easier.

Having my little nephew in the car, I just took it all in and nearly drove to another mall with more professional parking attendants. However, I was actually looking forward to this outing with loved ones. So we just drove to another parking bay and soaked up the sun.

After running some errands, we walked around to look for a place to eat. We were rather hungry. The decision to eat was given to me. I chose to go to Mugg & Bean. The place is clean and looks welcoming. It does not have the ideal seating comfort if you are coming to dine with a baby (and are carrying and pushing strollers and nappy bags.

The seating arrangement is rather very tightly packed and you feel like you are bothering other patrons while you get up and move to comfort a little one (who felt a bit intimidated by the unfamiliar surrounding and was teary).

Our waiter was nothing short of a tattooed champ. He was so understanding and did everything to make our experience pleasant. I really have no words to express our gratitude to this legend for his friendliness and professionalism. He showcases what we, the people of South Africa call Ubuntu (humanity).

We ordered a vegetarian dish (breakfast) as well as burger and chips. We were pleased to note that we could easily substitute the "meaty" items for vegetarian alternatives. True to Mugg & Bean's generous style, the food was generous.

The burger was fresh and okay. A little dissappointing from what I expected from such an establishment. The chips were fine. Their breakfast however was downright delicious. It reminded me of the yummy breakfast I had from Mugg & Bean at Kolonnade Shopping Centre, Pretoria. Both were very tasty. Their orange juice was tasty, crisp and better than most. All in all, the food was okay, but I will remember the exceptional customer service from our server the most.
